Writing Inspirations
A template for a Core Inspiration is provided at the end of this Writer's Guide. When submitting a Core Inspiration, the target date for which the submission is written should appear on the first line. Create four headings: Theme Intro, Commentary, Proverb and Prayer. Provide your narrative under the appropriate heading. Try to follow word counts suggested in the Writer’s Guidelines, shorter is better! Quality counts more than quantity.

Purpose and Tone
MbM will inspire, encourage and empower believers from many religious traditions, many walks of life and diverse cultures, so avoid exclusionary language. Be inclusive. Avoid gender-specific, age-specific, and marital status-specific language in the Core Inspirations. Avoid divisive, one-sided arguments on political, social and theological issues. Vanilla is good.
Notify us of your intention to write a week of Inspirations so that we do not have two people who write for the same week. Send one week of content, Monday-Sunday, in a single attachment, using the provided Liturgical Calendar and Weekly Themes. Name the file "Inspiration Date", such as Inspiration Feb 2-8, 2005.
